Is ngVision cloud-hosted?
Today ngVision runs self-hosted: the controller and agents live on your infrastructure, and you decide where measurement data is stored and who can access it. A SaaS version is planned for the near future.
Which agents are available?
Two families: Docker agents for servers, branches and the cloud, and Android mobile agents for WiFi measurements and field work.
Does the controller need internet access?
Yes, for licensing — the controller periodically contacts our licensing service to validate your subscription. Your measurement data itself stays inside your infrastructure.
What measurement types are supported?
ICMP RTT, UDP trace, HTTP timing, speed tests, TCP port monitoring and WiFi signal. The measurement catalog keeps growing.
How does licensing work?
Community is free and includes 5 monitoring tasks. Flexible adds tasks at $5.99 per task per month. Enterprise is an annual contract with custom pricing, tailored to your environment.
